Commercial Pilot Training
Pacific Pilot Training is serious about delivering fully qualified and sufficiently experienced professional pilots in to the aviation industry. Pacific Pilot Training’s unique relationship with its parent company Golden Wings means it is able to provide professional flight training that is linked to real commercial operations – the exciting world of Air Charter flying.
P.P.T. uses modern EFIS equipped training aircraft and the most experienced instructors. P.P.T. instructors have considerable airline piloting experience and we run customer-focused courses designed to get you where you want to be in aviation. P.P.T. will tailor a course according to your needs – on a pay-as-you-go basis, or you can utilise the Pacific Pilot Training Modular Course options or undertake the Professional Pilot Full-time Integrated Course:
THE PACIFIC PILOT TRAINING MODULAR COURSES
All Pacific Pilot Training modular courses include flight training and ground briefings, tuition for the relevant theory exams, study materials, student guides, examination fees, flight tests. Candidates are expected to obtain a Class1 or Class 2 medical, at their own cost, prior to commencement of Module A1 or A2 (as applicable). The quoted courses do not include any additional experience requirements or tuition that may required by individual candidates beyond the course components in order to meet the syllabus standard or requirements of the licence.
The Pacific Pilot Training CPL
Qualification: NZ CPL
Duration: 42 weeks, (1580 attendance hours required)
Flight Experience: 205 hours (minimum 110 hours as Pilot in Command)
Components: Practical aircraft management; A1, A2, A3, A4
A1: 55 hours flight time, Private Pilot theory course, ab-initio training, preparation for Private Pilot Flight test, PPL issue
A2: 85 hours flight time, CPL Theory course, Pilot in Command training, advanced CPL exercises, 25 hours night flight; PPL & CPL
A3: 50 hours flight time, Dual advanced CPL training
A4: 15 hours flight time, preparation and flight test for NZ CPL, CPL issue
The Pacific Pilot IFR rating and Multi-engine IFR endorsement
Qualification: NZ Command instrument rating; Rating on PA28 & PA34 aircaft
Duration: 12 weeks (450 attendance hours required)
Flight Experience: 35 hours
Components: IR & ME theory course, IF cross country navigation training flights, Flight test
The Pacific Pilot Instructor Rating
Qualification: NZ Instructor rating; Category C
Duration: 12 weeks (450 hours)
Flight Experience: 35 hours
Components: Flight instruction; theory and practical, instructional techniques, Flight test preparation
PBN and GNSS Endorsement (MEIR) Course
Qualification: MEIR PBN GNSS endorsement
Duration: 4 days (26 hours)
Flight Experience: 3 hours
Components: Ground instruction on Perfomance bsed navigation (PBN) requirements for new Zealand airspace. GPS flight simulation, Flight practice, GPS check flight and endorsement issue.
PROFESSIONAL PILOT FULL-TIME INTEGRATED COURSES
Pacific Pilot Training integrated courses assume full-time attendance. They include flight training and ground briefings, tuition for the relevant theory exams, study materials, student guides, examination fees, flight tests. Candidates are expected to obtain a Class 2 medical, at their own cost, prior to commencement of the course. The quoted courses do not include any additional experience requirements or tuition that may be required by individual candidates beyond the course components in order to meet the syllabus standard or requirements of the licence.
Professional Pilot Full-time Integrated Course:
This is a full-time 56 week course – totalling 2015 attendance hours. Candidates graduate with 240 hours total flight time, at least 120 Pilot-in-Command and 25 hours of night time. Qualifications: the NZ Commercial Pilots Licence and Multi-engine instrument rating.
Professional Pilot course with Air Transport Cadetship:
Successful candidates graduate from the P.P.T. CPL & MEIR course and go on to a command OCA (operational competency assessment) to fly a minimum of 40 hours flight time on Air Transport Operations (in conjunction with Golden Wings Air Charter). They study and sit the NZ ATPL theory subjects.
